The Story
Coach Kris O'Brien
I started One More Basketball Training with one goal in mind: bringing basketball back to Central Mass. I’ve been fortunate enough to spend my entire life in Hudson and even more fortunate to have played basketball for over 20 years. I played four years of varsity basketball at Hudson High School before continuing my career with four years of collegiate basketball in Memphis, Tennessee. Today, I am a special education teacher in the Acton school district and also help coach the varsity basketball program at Hudson High School. Through my work, I am First Aid/CPR, Safety-Care, and SafeSport certified.
My journey in basketball was shaped by countless hours on the road for AAU tournaments, searching for pickup games around Central Massachusetts, and practicing on my home hoop until the sun went down. None of the opportunities I had were guaranteed. Growing up, Hudson was never really a place that helped fuel the dreams of basketball players simply because there weren’t many opportunities available. I know firsthand the dedication it takes to pursue basketball at the next level, and I also know there are countless athletes throughout Central Massachusetts who are capable of competing at that level.
One More Basketball Training was built on a simple belief: every player has more in them than they think. My job is to find it, push it, and make it permanent.
How We Train
THE PHILOSOPHY
One more rep. One more skill. One more day. That's how players are made.
Reps Over Shortcuts
There's no hack. No secret drill. Just deliberate, high-volume repetition with purpose behind every touch.
Mindset First
The best players aren't always the most talented. They're the ones who show up when it's hard and push through when others quit.
Game-Speed Training
Every drill is designed to translate directly to game situations. We don't train for the gym — we train for the court.
Honest Development
Players get real feedback. We celebrate progress and attack weaknesses. No sugarcoating — just growth.
Real Results
Player Success Stories
Went from JV to varsity in one off-season. Improved ball handling and shot selection completely transformed my game.

Age 9 · Skills Clinic
After training with Kris my senior year of high school, I was able to take my game to the next level and score 1,000 points for my school. My averages went up by 5 ppg and multiple DIII schools expressed interest, thanks Coach Kris!
